Lorenoque model - French steam and sail paddlewheeler - wooden ship model kit
Mamoli - no. MV23 - scale 1:100
The Lorenoque was one of the first French frigates with mixed propulsion (sail and steam) built in 1848. It displaced 2,568 tons. Although equipped with advanced mechanical propulsion, it retained the typical poise of frigates of that era. Poorly armed, it was used primarily to transport soldiers. The richness of the superstructures, recreated with refined performance and faithful scale, the characteristic paddle wheels and the classic mast give the model a new and original look.
