Model Yacht Mary - The First Royal Dutch Yacht 1646 - wooden ship model kit
Mamoli - no. MV28 - scale 1:54
The Mary yacht was built in the Netherlands and presented to Prince Charles Stuart by the city of Amsterdam on the occasion of his proclamation as King of England. It is considered the prototype of a recreational boat. The reconstruction of the model was aided by a photograph by Van der Velde and archaeological remains from the shipwreck site, which came to light in the 1970s. The model is therefore faithful and structurally identical in terms of construction to our other larger models. This ship is particularly rich in ornamentation.
