Some facts:
The German Pz.Kpfw.I is a light tank produced between 1934 and 1939. The design in 1930 was called "Kleintraktor" (small tractor), and in 1933 its name was changed to "Landwirtschaftlicher Schlepper" (agricultural tractor) due to limitations. effect of the Treaty of Versailles.
Manufactured since 1934, the vehicles proved to be very distressing during the Spanish Civil War in 1936. The low field efficiency and low firepower of the MG 13 machine guns prevented the T-26s from being effective. During the Austrian anschluss in 1938, about 30% of the vehicles crashed on their way to Vienna, and the 670 km defeat of the 2nd Armored Division took two days. One of the few advantages of Pz.Kpfw.I was the ability to transport them to unmodified trucks, which reduced the vehicle wear.
The construction of the tank and technical solutions turned out to be outdated in 1939, during the attack on Poland. For this reason, these vehicles were almost withdrawn from service as early as 1941.
